my other weekend

basically anyone who laughs at my jokes is my friend.

when i was in casper for new year's with bunny i met a kid.  and he laughed at my jokes.  so we were friends.

we've hung out a few times since then, and here is my other weekend:  i got a tour of casper (ish).  woo.  i know, not a fan either, but it was pretty fun regardless.

what happened was this

this is what happened to me the other day. 
i think i was cooking, or maybe just making tea.  but something happened where i had to pour hot water in the sink. 
as i was pouring, i heard this weird pop, but i didn't think anything of it, because sometimes i hear strange noises from my neighbors.  actually i think one of my neighbors - the creepy one who never says hi, and will never even look at me when i pass him in the hallway - is a chronic furniture mover.  at least twice a week i hear furniture being dragged across the floor.  and that's a good week.
but back to the story...this one's much better.  ok, maybe it's not.
because what happened was this:

my bottom of my glass popped out!  and i was really sad because there were only two of their kind left!  now we are down to one! 

no more monkeys jumpin on the bed!!!!

but i guess it's worth it when you are a Major Success!
today - or tonight, should i say - it's 1030... anyways.  tonight i made soup!  from this little girlie's bloggie!  and it was Amazing!  first time around, no less!  and now it's going to feed me for the next 3 1/2 weeks!!
actually.  now that i think about it.  today was really just kind of a success.  i kinda love those days:
first:  made it to my 8 oclocker on time
then:  gymmmmm!!!!!! (i keep saying that i'm going to go because i have a 2 hour break, but i always end up coming home and going back to bed...and no, that's not laziness...) even ran over 2 miles!!
then: class
then:  homework/study/etc
then:  good phone call(s)
then:  FOOOOODDDD!!! 
((also, please excuse the fact that it looks uncooked.  i believe that is the pink tablecloth doing some serious damage to the appeal of my creation!!!!))

ok, ok.  it's really not that much.  but it's enough. i mean, i could always use a, oh about 49 degree increase in temperature (inside and out - i have to dress for winter in my lil flat), but other than that....'sgood!

Mine are dying their 17th death, and, I believe, this will be their very last.  They might not make it through the winter.  And you know what that means for me...

Since my birthday is at the weekend, I had a little dinner tonight and had KatieBug over, as well as Paul and Catharine and their kiddies, Eli and Cavan.  We made pizza and ran around like crazies all afternoon!  And then went on a balloon popping frenzy!  Very much fun, I'm going to miss them when I leave, and also when they leave to Washington...Boo.  : (

I'm so excited!!!  I was resigned to my fate:  to be coffeetable-less for at Least another year.  I'm happy to announce that that is not, in fact, how things turned out!!!

New Bloggie!

Thanks to the lovely PJ, I now have CUPCAKES on my blog!!!  This is serious excitement and she spent all day today at work, working on perfecting it!  What can I say?  The girl is all about perseverence apparantly.

my very very favorite!!

This, I believe, is my very favorite Christmas/birthday gift (Don't forget, everyone, it's on the 10th!!!! In just 4 very short days!!!!). It is from KatieBug and she Made it. All of it!!! And I am so impressed! We saw some sort of similar clocks when we were in Greece but they were soo soo expensive. I love love love mine and I can't wait to get home so I can hang it on my wall!!!

christmas presents

i got an amazing christmas present from bunny. a tea pot with a little warmer thing and some blossoming tea. they're little balls, and when you pour the water in they, like, explode!!!!! (or blossom, if you go by the name...)this is my favorite. very artsy, eh? at the end the flowers all bleached out - maybe that is what flavors the tea? who knows? but I like it!
isn't it amazing? and it tasted delicious!!! i'm so excited!!!!!!!

new years! i can't believe it's 2010!

bunny and bear! awwww i went to casper (i know, i know...) for new year's and stayed with bunny. we acted crazy and looked sexy (right? right: the answer to that question is always yes). and played pool (i dominate at wii pool, but am a sad sight at a real pool table, i must admit) and danced like mad women, and met boys (of course: see above - info about sexy) and really just had a lot of fun.

a bit of history: bunny and claire met in high school and became best friends, and even while other friendships came and went (in highschool and college...), we have stayed friends. so we've been friends for about six years...! tadaaaa!
she is crazy and i love her!

here are my new year's resolutions (probably only for the month of january - i'll have to make some more in february. and march. and april and may.... i like to make resolutions. so i make them quite often...
Anyways:
1. delete all the phone numbers in my phone that belong to meanies
2. cook more
3. stop procrastinating
4. call my sissy more
5. get a tattoo
6. get a job
7. floss more
8. facebook less
9. be spontaneous!
10. (if only to be cliche) go to the gym and get Fitttt!

this is what oklahoma looks like. as well as the entire trip there.
don't get me wrong, it was a fun trip. there was just no visual stimulation whatsoever. i'll take the ocean any day. heck, i'll even take the mountains.
