Ish

During our few days in Brighton, we decided to be really crazy and take a little trip down the coast (ish) to Rye for a day. We had heard that it's a gorgeous little town, that has a really beachy (as I like to call it) feel to it. We were also told that it had this feel because it used to be a port town. But the river changed course or silted up, or something crazy like that, and now it is something like a mile and a half from the coast.

We went down the infamous Mermaid Street and saw all the crazy cottages with names like The House with Two Front Doors, and The House Opposite, and The Smugglers Cottage. We took a cruise in some man's Gorgeous car (you'll have to ask Dad about that one...). Ok, ok, ok. We just took some pictures in it - but it looks like some serious cruising, right? We had tea in the oldest tea house in town, bought some non-English leather - as in, a wallet, and some English mocs, and just so you know, I have been searching for the perfect mocs for YEARS.

And on our way back, we stopped in Hastings and did a tiny bit of hiking, which was lovely. We also ate at a random chain pub, but I think that's kind of an oxymoron, and not really possible. Anyways, nothing exciting there, nothing worth mentioning.
