19 weeks

11. feb

BABY'S SIZE     a mango!  6 inches, 8.5 ounces.  i learned from work that ultrasounds can be up to a pound off, so to take their measurements with a tiny grain of salt.

WEIGHT GAIN     according to my appointment 3 pounds.  i haven't weighed myself since.

HOW I'M FEELING     good.  i like to think i've been less moody, but let's be honest.  moody is my normal self.  i kind of doubt that these raging hormones are doing anything to calm it down...

WHAT I'M EATING     still the cereal.  i told arley not to buy it anymore so it wouldn't even be an option, and he said, "but i like cereal."  i think he's reliving his childhood.  we've gone through honey nut cheerios, fruit loops, now fruity pebbles, which i could do without.  next is kix, according to arley.

HOW I'M CHANGING     starting to feel more poochy.  i definitely notice when i bend down to tie my shoes, for example.  it feels like my guts are about to get squished out.

MOVEMENT     i'm trying and trying to feel any kicks or wiggles.  and i still can't tell if it's me or if it's baby.  i feel like when i'm aaaaalmost to sleep i can feel things - but that might just be dreams.

SLEEP     i slept 11.5 hours last night.  i decided to get up because my hips were hurting from so much laying around.  and then about 5 hours later i took a 2 hour nap (because i'm on call and have to sleep just in case) and i fell asleep with no problem.

THINGS THIS WEEK     it feels like we're making progress on the house!  the bedroom is painted, and now arley is working his way down both hallways.  i'm cleaning out the nursery.  i think i've packed out at least 2 truckloads of junk and there is still more to go.

LOOKING FORWARD TO     meeting my family in denver to do some crib shopping!  woo hoo!

FUN FACT     nerve cells for the senses - taste, hearing, sight, smell - are developing in baby's brain
