Since I decided that I would rather spend my money on travelling to new places than going home, I was almost doomed to spend Christmas alone... But as it turns out, the lovely PJ, aka my big sistah, got a plane ticket to England as a gift. And so we got to spend Christmas together!
When she arrived, we went straight to London (she flew into Gatwick, which is sort of between London and Brighton) and stayed in a crazy little hostel near Paddington Station (which was part of my criteria, because anyone who has read Paddington Bear has to go to Paddington Station - it was all that I hoped for, and more...!). We experienced the whole of London in 2 days, because we had to catch the train back to Brighton on the 24th, as no trains were running on Christmas or Boxing Day. And then we spent Christmas in my little flat - where we discovered that some of my gifts had been stolen(!) while we were in London, and which security would do nothing about... But besides that, it was lovely. And on Boxing Day we walked, yes walked the 4 miles into town and then we walked back as well, as no buses were running.
To say it in a sentence: we hit the ground running and didn't stop until we got back to the airport.
It was a good Christmas. Different, for sure, but good.
Jet lag? What's that?
You see? It's a must. You can't leave London unless you go.
Hyde Park
Umm.
Trafalgar Square.
The Love of my Life!!!!
Oh yes, Lance.
Our Christmas tree!!! Sadly, in the following months, it has died. Altough I still have it...!
Enough said...
Sussex Uni! Wahoo!
Now this. This was a good time!
My gypsy lover, who also happened to be a pirate. Don't worry, it could never work between us. I get sea sick.
