here's a familiar face.

it was such an opposite (but great) christmas.  we had it two weeks early.  so mikah could have christmas with us before she went to CANADA.  and mikah got all the clothes and i got all the cooking stuff!  it was so great.  i got a beautiful pie pan, and stackable cooling racks, and glass tupperware!!!

when i was driving back to texas, i stopped halfway and stayed the night in new mexico with some friends i used to babysit for.  john was also my boss when i first starting doing trails, and angela worked with my mama.  actually, i guess for a couple summers we all worked together at the same place.

anyways.  i stopped and stayed with them and angela made chicken pot pie (and taught me new amazing cooking tricks).  it was so amazing.  she gave me the recipe so i could make it with my new beautiful pie pan.

so here is the first thing ever cooked in my pie pan!!:

i made the crust too small so it couldn't fit over the wavy part...

and then i used all my new tupperwares to keep the pieces in.  so i could take them to school for lunch!
but no photos of that, unfortunately...
