quite a few of my cousins have been heroes, and then let me down. three that i can think of off the top of my head.
i can't think of any specific instance for any of them when they let me down, but slowly they just started to become un-heroes to me.
i think it must have been when i was "learning about the world".
you know when you are small and everything is black and white, good or bad, right or wrong? i think that is when they became my heroes. (i think they were all at seperate times...) and when you start comprehending that there is gray, kind of good and kind of bad, and sort of right and sort of wrong? i think that is when they became my un-heroes. i realized they weren't the white, good, right that i had originally thought they were (that they led me to believe? not even sure at this point). and it was disappointing.
