sometimes i amaze myself...

so uh, i have been having a bit of a panic this weekend.
i thought i lost my camera.
well, i did lose it.
i couldn't find it anywhere.
i was looking and looking, and it was nowhere!

just now i was grabbing my running shoes for the morning, and...Suprise!
my camera was just randomly inside a shoe.

i don't even know. don't ask because i have no idea...

day 57

last week (i believe) laramie was Flooded!  it was so crazy!  you can't tell too much in these photos, unless you know that none of these places should have water in them.  which they shouldn't.

the river normally stops on the far side of the bushes that are in the top right.
this is the old prison (i always forget what it's actually called...) it's across the highway from the river, and should definitely not have a lake in front of it.  pretty crazy

day 56

look at those shiny beasts!
i oiled them and they were beautiful.  for about 3 seconds.  then i had to wear them to work and every piece of dirt in the greater fox park area (and some other places) stuck to them.
it's going to be a vicious cycle, i'm pretty sure...

day 55

i have a mint plant!  someday i will plant it probly at "the new house" but for now, i like to smell it (delicious) and accidentally almost let it die because i forget to water it and then save it...

day 54

you see now?  it's like a comparison.  the night one and the morning one.
who knew i could be such an artistic genius in the morning.  kidding, but kind of not.  i'm actually just pretty impressed that i was functioning well enough at 7 in the morning to take a relatively normal looking photo...!

day 53

i know, i know, enough with the photos of my window already!  but i just can't help it...!
this one's a sunset, ps.

day 52

remember the tree that looked dead but wasn't?  and then there was a photo of it when it was really gorgeous?  well, here is another really gorgeous one after the leaves on the other trees definitely came out.  the flowers are all gone now.  it was kind of nice when they were falling off, because i was usually parked underneath, and so every morning on the way to work my car would be covered in flower petals.
ok, that's not really exciting at all, but at 745 in the morning, stranger things have happened.
it's like from alice in wonderland:  why, sometimes i've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast!
ok, maybe it's not like that at all....

this isn't going at all the way i planned...

day 51

a little masterpiece that we saw on our way home...
if you noticed that 'rams' is drawn on the big rock, please disregard.  i most definitely do not support them.
actually, maybe it says "raw"  or "rah"  like a cheer?  probly denver can't bring themselves to support the rams either... (that's csu, in case you were wondering...not that it's important.)

spontaneousss!

we were so spontaneous:
on our 6th street adventure we walked past the ogden theatre and we saw on the...whatever board they put the names on...that la roux was playing like the next day.  and i love her because she is british.  and so we were all "we should go!"  "yaaaaaa!!!!"
me:  ok act really excited that we're going to see la roux!"
pj:  what?
me:  ready....GO!
disclaimer:  may or may not be actual conversation - but close, i'm sure
la roux!!

the one downer of this concert was that instead of being surrounded by the awesome red rocks crowd, we were surrounded by vicious 15 year old girls. vicious.  and i don't feel guilty at all for shoving them back.  they're probably bigger than me anyways...

rreeeddddd rooccckkkkkssss!!!!!!

we went to see john butler trio and it was so awesome!!!!  we got there insanely early, so we went and hiked around for a while, and that was really cool too.
pj thought this one looked like a sinking ship
i made mikah go first after we saw this one
thought this one was funny.  such a random amount
instead of "measure how high the snow is", it's "measure how high the grass is"
this is at the beginning, when the first band, state radio was getting ready to play.  i couldn't even believe how Huge this place is!!
a little photo for perspective.  the cliffs don't look that huge until you see the little ant people standing next to them.
notice the "hi mom" on the drums.  this was state radio's stuff.  i thought it was funny.
the souvenirs that red rocks has to offer.  a bit irrelevant if you ask me...
pj took this photo.  i forgot all about my camera.  i was busy dancing.  all of denver is above the stage.
top ten on the coolest places i've ever been...!!
this is when john butler trio was playing.  this is probably one of my favorites of theirs.

senior pics

little miss pj was gettin a little sassy for her senior pics
(i made her do it - she didn't want to)

day 50

reeddddddd roooccccckkkkkkssss!!!!!!!

6th street adventure

or i guess you could call it "ogden and corona and that one other street adventure"...
this is what all the houses along these streets look like...
i don't know why, but i love this picture.  especially the "loft" part

musician claire playing vintage!!
i loved this little gargoyle - so sad, so sweet!
this is what i think "the new house" should have in the foyer (hahahahaha....foyer)  not betty boop.  the mirror and the little bench, minus the weirdo blanket.
i was on a mask kick.  they were so awesome.
these little signs were all over.  and then underneath was a little Poop Bag dispenser. hahahaha

day 49

on our little adventure in denver, by 6th street we saw some Pink poppies!  they were so gorgeous!
i think they look like paper...

i heart lamp

it's from something, some movie or something, i just don't know what...i always see the shirts that say it...so i thought i would conform just a little and say it too...
anyways.  my mamacita is lookin for lamps.  so i am on a lamp kick, searching high and low for her.  so far, i don't think she really likes anything that i have found...
these were in the awesomest antique shop i have ever been in.  yes, we went antiquing.  spure of the moment thing.  or not.  we walked past it and it was closed, so we were going to come back, but we forgot where it was so we had to wander around for hours (or maybe 10 minutes...) until we found it.
well worth the search.  i'm going to take my favorite auntie carol there soonish, i believe!!

day 48

i love this picture.
this is friday morning.  i picked my sissy up from the airport the night before, and we ate delicious good times (the fast food place, not literally!  really, people!) and went to bed way too late.  then in the morning we went to this little breakfast place, and then walked around a lot and took many good pictures.  not even opinion - fact.  facts and facts of good pictures...

cloud series

don't i sound like such an artist.  hah
i don't know what it is about clouds, but they get me every time.
they're tricky, that must be it.
have you ever tried to paint them??? they are so hard!!!  never come out looking real!

day 47

ferdinand took a little trip to denver the other weekend!
to be honest, i wasn't really sure how well it was going to turn out...but suprisingly well!
except no radio.

day 46

remember the picture of the tree that looked dead, but it was supposed to be flower buds?
well this is it!!  so gorgeous!  but it only lasted like a week.  now, every time i go to get in my car in the mornings, the flowers are all just plastered to my car...

bad news...yet again.

i may or may not have a slight addiction.  i had *like* resigned myself to the fact that i would be without my computer for somewhere around the vicinity of 2 weeks.
so no blogging.
but i started having this...buildup in my head of blog posts and clever things to say, and i may or may not have gone through a bit of withdrawal.
so now i am borrowing so that i can feed my addiction...

Houston, we have a BIG problem!!!!!

sebastian, who happens to be my computer, is BROKEN.  which is sad.
but it's extra sad because now i can't put up my photo-a-day.  for a long time.
because tomorrow i have to send it in for repairs (i'm borrowing right now...)

anyways.  don't forget me!  i'll catch up soon, i promise!

a preview:  picklecake weekend, which involves some concerts, and, well, that's pretty much it...

anyways.  see you soonish!  (hopefully...)

day 45

i LOVE this picture!!
how amazing am i??

it actually reminds me of this one that i took in brighton...strange coloring i guess...?

now that i look at them together, they're nothing alike...i don't know. the first one just made me think of this one.
this is my abstract!  but it's actually just the beach at night.  clever me, eh?!
