beach vs. snow

I have to say: it is MUCH more exciting taking photos of the beach in 80 degree weather while you are there than taking photos of the snow while you are out in it... Which is why I took some from my windows instead.
It has been snowing for three days. It is horribly cold, terribly windy, and my little green Leonardo wallet is crying because it can feel the electric bill going up and up and up.
But what have you.

upon which i was scribbling

i had a bit of art time the other day. i was waiting for mr. sebastian to start up, and started drawing my reflection in the screen on some scratch paper that i had been scribbling on (upon which i had been scribbling, if you want correct grammar, etc.). not that it looks like me, but i thought it ended up looking slightly appealing...

what's the use of saving stuff?

sentimental value....is usually the answer.
i was going to save my 'brighton rock' just so i could have it, and maybe to remember that i actually was there? but the other day, i decided that regardless of whether or not it is sitting in my little cupcake cup with all my pens and pencils, i will still have lived in brighton. so i started eating it. and now it is almost gone...
brighton rock....a sort of peppermint stick? a straight candy cane without the stripes, but that has the words brighton inside the candy! called rock because it is hard, i would imagine....if you look really hard, you can see a bit of blurry pink at the top part of the white...that is where it says brighton

kitchens!

I think that kitchens say a lot about a person. Maybe not so much the kitchens themselves, but what specific little things go into them....that being said, I guess a house altogether says a lot about a person. If they have decorated it, that is. Take me for example: I am a glass person. I don't really know how, but ask anyone I know: I probably go through ten glasses a day. It's slightly ridiculous, and makes for many many dishes to wash...

My little, and by little I mean microscopic, kitchen has grown on me. This is my favorite part...I don't really know why....

it's been a week

It's been an...intense week, I mean, what can I say? Tuesday I got a flat tire, Wednesday I got ran over by a skateboarder (while I was on my bike, no less), and Friday...Friday I slammed my leg in my car door, along with this other nonsense that I just can't talk about right now...! I don't even want to think about Friday...I'll put it this way: This is what I have to look forward to for the next 8 months....

recovery aka sleep

Needed to escape reality (?) or something, so went to the cabin for a weekend of recovery, aka SLEEP. It was gorgeous. Slightly colder than I would have loved and slightly snowier than I would have loved, but when you only go outside 5 times in 2 1/2 days, it's mostly tolerable...Not to underexaggerate the cabin. Really, it was gorgeous.
Waiting for my ride - looking across the street from my building

my gorgeous little flat!

Who even has time these days? Because I, for one, do not. Sad, sad day.

Anyways, some photos of my gorgeous little expensive flat! I love it and I am going to stay til I leave Laramie. I love the ceilings with the plaster cracking off, and the crooked walls and floors and doorways, and I love the 3 brazilian closets, and even the tiny tiny microscopic kitchen, where the refridgerator door doesn't open all the way. But I must admit, I am slightly afraid of the electric bill since I've turned on the heat....
