long days.

i'm a little embarrassed.  ok, a lot embarrassed.  but she is losing her weirdo cat eye makeup and stuff.  if you don't watch, it's a little better.  catchy, that's for sure.

curtains and sprains

i went shopping with my mom the other day and we bought curtain stuff for her living room.  then the other night we (my mamacita and my dad and i) put them up! 

at the first window the holes were all drilled, and the brackets were about to get screwed into the wall.  but the brackets are two pieces so you can change how far the curtains are from the wall.  and the second piece fell out and hit my foot. 
me:  DAAADD!  MY FOOOT!!  YOU SPRAINED IT AGAIN!    (i sprained my foot a few months ago)
dad:  what???
         shakes his head
me and mom:  hahahahahahahaha

and then later we were putting some curtains on a rod and i hit my mamacita's hand with the rod.
mom:  now i'm going to have a big bruise!
me:  did i sprain it?
me and mom:  hahahahahahaha
dad:   ....
         shakes his head.

i thought it was funny.

anyways.  they look really lovely, and now it looks like someone for reals lives in their house!

job.

cat power.  is a girl.  and a singer.  and amazing.

this is the end of my second week of my summer job.  being a fire fighter. 
i have achilles tendonitus.
so everyone else gets to be real fire fighters, but not me.
i get to stay home and make sure our forest, which is under at least 6 feet of snow, if not more, doesn't catch on fire.  yay...
when my sister was a fire fighter, usually i would see her about 3 times the whole summer - she would be gone on fires the WHOLE time. 
the only time my crew got called out last summer, wasn't actually summer.  it was the day that i started class.  yet again, i didn't get to go.

i guess i shouldn't complain.  a job is a job, and at least i have one. 
but i get all the bad luck!!!

when it was march, and still winter, i took some pictures of the tree outside my window.  in the morning, and in the afternoon....the excitement that is my life.

i think it's strange that the morning sun makes it look red.  but not the afternoon sun...

airplane ride.

i'm kind of afraid of airplanes.  i just feel like something that enormous should not float on the air.  but i do kind of love airplane pictures.  when you're not taking off or landing...

leaving oklahoma.  it's so flat.

coolest clouds ever.  only when you're above them though.  i think this was air from oklahoma, so it was like 85 degrees.  i wanted to sleep in them.  the clouds, that is.   

and then we went below the clouds to land in denver.  where it was like 40 degrees, just got done snowing, and was about to snow at any second.  I WANT SOME SUMMER!
