happy valentine's day!!

it's kind of fun to have a holiday when you don't spend much money.  in a way.
it's kind of fun to think of meaningful things to make or do as gifts.  in a way.
it's kind of fun to wake up and be completely surprised.  all the ways.

mikah introduced me to these girls long long ago, and i just recently found them again.

oni plays with my shoes a lot.  she loves to stick her head in my running shoes after i have just taken them off.  she's so gross.  but she especially loves my toms and my flip flops.

and then once, the other night, i caught her playing with arley's flip flops.  i guess she loves him too now.

at least she tried to hide it a LITTLE by playing in the closet...

something happened to me.  something life changing.

i learned how to upload photos from iPhoto.  i always thought i had to copy and paste them into my pictures file.

things are really looking up.  now, if i could just get my dream job in albuquerque!

we've been very busy for not being busy at all.  i feel like i could be pretty rich by now if i were getting paid to do applications.  i'm thinking i should actually start a business where i do applications for people.  only $50 an application.  any takers?

anyways.  we went hiking the other day.  and it was fun.  eda especially loved it, as she got to be free (from her leash) part of the time.

surprise snow attack!

i've heard this song before, but i recently listened to it, and it has a nice message.

i was just talking about how i can't wrap my brain around the fact that other parts of the country are covered in snow and how i can't even remember the snowy season, as far as ski resorts.  and then last night i looked out the window (after i noticed oni being super more obsessed with outside than she normally is) and saw an inch of snow!

i like how snow makes the sky look super weird.
