i just joined a book club.
i feel like i should have done this so long ago.
but also i am scared.
how do you do a book club? do you really have to analyze the book? can you just say you like the book or you don't? should i write a book report?
maybe i should cliff notes it just in case?
it's at a coffee shop and not a wine-serving place, so i won't even have a little extra courage to fake my way through some fancy-schmancy scholarly book.
the goldfinch by donna tartt
of course, i chose the meeting with the longest book in history.
it's not until april, so i will have lots of time to read the book and think of really smart things to say about it. and also lots of time to panic about not being able to make friends and how awkward it's going to be.
i think i'm excited.

the new year
____________________________________
but first, here are some fun fact-y things.
most people's first word of the year is happy
mars is populated entirely by robots
when a pregnant woman swims, she is a human submarine
centaurs have two rib cages
and here are a few of my resolutions for the year
- follow through with fitness goals
- eat healthier
- be more tolerant and patient
- save at least $50 from every paycheck
- walk eda every day
- use my new trusty planner every day
- take more photos
- make more blogs (failing on this one so far)
and here are some photos from christmas
just so you know. the tree has been taken down and it's not even march yet!!
