BABY'S SIZE a cauliflower! 13.5-15 ounces and 1.5-2.5 pounds.
HOW I'M FEELING the 10 hour drives were a little tough - hard to get comfy, but otherwise about the same.
WHAT I'M EATING i went a good chunk of the week without cereal. and i survived! i did have a little coffee kick though. Naylor coffee is usually 1/4 to 1/2 caffeine (this week it was 1/4) and then i made Baby Coffee, which is half coffee and half milk. ok, and a lot of sugar.
HOW I'M CHANGING i might have to start putting my pants on sitting down. when i stand, i kind of stick my knee out to the side as i bend it, and something that i do makes my back and hips tweak really bad.
i might be changing my mind, also. we see an ob, and i really like her. i am a little concerned though, about the other doctors in her group. there is at least one who is pretty well known for his love of c-sections. and that makes me nervous. so i think i might want to change to a midwife. that way, the stress of "what if the c-section doctor is on call??" won't be there.
MOVEMENT Ya Ya got to feel grand baby #2 wiggling! i think it liked her - it did a giant bonk that surprised us both!
SLEEP sleep was a little iffy this week. we are used to a king, and the bed we camped on was a queen, so we felt smashed. i did take a few naps here and there though.
THINGS THIS WEEK felt so proud that i had gotten rid of so much of my storage stuff, but then the stuff i kept barely barely fit in the truck. eda had to squeeze onto a rocking chair for the ride back and she was not thrilled about it.
we also did an ikea expedition on our way through denver. at first it was very exciting (it was arley's first ikea experience), but then we had a bad cafeteria experience - they were very rude, so then it wasn't exciting anymore. but then it was. until the end, when we waited in line for 20 minutes to buy a tupperware for era's water. finally we just bought a paper cup from the refreshment thing right at the door.
we went to our first birthing class this week. it's pretty hippy and a little weird, but i think i'm going to like it. i've been practicing already. they say that's what makes it work. "you get out of it what you put into it." so i'm doing it!
LOOKING FORWARD TO i'm not sure if i'm actually looking forward to it, but i get/have to take my gestational diabetes test soon. you drink this super sweet kool-aid type drink, and then in an hour have your blood drawn to see how your body processes the sugar.
FUN FACT baby has a sense of equilibrium and can tell which way is up and which way is down.
