29 weeks

21. apr

BABY'S SIZE     an acorn squash!  (i always thought those were small...who knows?)  15-16.5 inches and 2.5-3.5 pounds!

HOW I'M FEELING     i'm feeling a little angry at the massage place.  i booked our massages at least 3 weeks ago.  and the night before our massage - not even 24 hours beforehand, like they expect from customers when changing plans - i got a voicemail saying they don't give 2 hour prenatal massages (gift cards, woo hoo!!).  so who knows if we will even be able to go tomorrow.  i have been looking forward to this for weeks, jerk massage place.

WHAT I'M EATING     i've noticed that i feel WAY too full eating the same amount of food that i've always eaten.  baby is squishing my guts.  so i've been eating the same things, but trying to be more aware of how much of it i eat.

HOW I'M CHANGING     the swelling has begun.  i tried to put some shoes on the other day for a work meeting (we're not supposed to wear flip flops) and they did not fit.  so i wore flip flops.  you can't really wear tennis shoes with a dress.

MOVEMENT     i think baby is getting big enough to wedge itself against one side of me and kick against the other.  it's less of a bubbly feeling (like the kicks and wiggles) and more of a slow, hard pressure.  sometimes it almost hurts!  pushing on my belly and feeling lumps of baby is getting easier.

SLEEP     bleh.

THINGS THIS WEEK     i'm going hiking with a girl from work on monday - maybe that will make up for my missed hike last week.
also, my ob appointments have upped to every two weeks (third trimester!!!).
also, i think arley is getting some pregnancy cravings.  he has been very supportive about dessert, and we seem to always have something munchy and sweet around.  i think i like it...!

LOOKING FORWARD TO     only about a week or so before mikah comes over, and then drives with me to wyoming to have a little party!

FUN FACT     baby is hiccuping (and has been for a few weeks now).  i saw baby hiccuping in the ultrasound, but i can't feel it.  my conclusion is that the anterior placenta gets in the way.
baby is putting on lots of fat, which means lots of energy.
